About us

Ibuki” means “breath” in Japanese.
And that’s what we are: a house of books that breathe gently, that do not shout, but quietly stay by your side. Intimate, poetic, and transformative stories that may seem like simple tales…but are, in truth, paths that lead you back to the center of yourself.

Ibuki Ediciones was born out of silence.
The kind of silence that sometimes settles between a mother and her teenage daughter.
That difficult, though natural silence… and deeply painful.
That space where words no longer reach. And when they do, they push away.
Adolescence asks us to let go, to give space…
but you know that space can so easily fill with foreign voices,
confusing ideas, and paths that carry her far from herself.

And then, a book was born. The Girl Who Remembered Herself.
A kind of letter disguised as a story.
A letter written from love —and a certain desperation.
Not to teach, but to whisper.
Not to impose, but to extend an invisible thread inward.

And with that letter in hand, Ibuki was born.
Not as just another publishing house,
but as a way to ensure that letter would reach its destination.
Ibuki was born as a messenger dove.
A quiet courier of books that beat softly.
Books that offer no promises of answers, but the hope of finding your way back. Books that fly like a whisper wrapped in paper.

We publish stories for girls who, at times, drift so far from themselves
they no longer know the way back.
In a world full of noise, we believe true empowerment begins
in the silence of an intimate question: Who am I?

Ibuki Ediciones is not merely a place where books are read.
It is a place where a girl can remember herself.
And from there… choose a different path.
